ANTACEA 1954
A grand-strategy game played on Discord, set in the Suzerain universe. January 1954.
Lead one of ten nations through 1954, on Discord, with two fellow ministers, against twenty-seven other players.
How it works
One week of real time is one quarter of 1954
You never click a button that changes the world. You write orders in plain English, argue for them, and a human Umpire decides what happens with a hundred-sided die.
- STEP 1
Pick a nation and a seat
Ten nations, three seats each: the Leader and two ministers. You play the office, not an avatar.
- STEP 2
Read your State Panel
A read-only console with your treasury, parliament, economy, energy and forces. It only shows; it never changes anything.
- STEP 3
Post orders on Discord
Write each order with the template in your nation's orders channel before Thursday 23:59. Argue why it should work.
- STEP 4
The Umpire rolls d100
Every order gets a target number and a public roll. Results land in the private reports and the World Bulletin.
The turn cycle
Each quarter moves through five states. The panel shows the current one next to the date.
- PLANNINGMon – Thu 23:59
Negotiate, draft and post orders. Edit or withdraw freely.
- LOCKEDThu 23:59
Late orders are void. The Umpire validates everything.
- RESOLVINGFri – Sat
All orders resolve at once, in a fixed sequence.
- REVIEWSat
Private reports go to each cabinet.
- PUBLISHEDSun
World Bulletin, press and updated panels.
Three seats per nation
Titles follow each country: Queen, Chancellor, Grand Duke, Supreme Wiseman…
Leader
Domestic policy, parliament, laws, propaganda, appointments, the final say.
Economy & Interior
Budget, taxes, industry, infrastructure, energy, trade, public order.
Foreign Affairs & Defence
Diplomacy, treaties, intelligence, armed forces, command in the field.
How a d100 roll works
The Umpire picks a difficulty band. Each good argument adds +10 (up to +30). Roll at or under the target to succeed. Try it:
Target number 60
Other modifiers: +10 for resources beyond what is needed, ±10 for State Capacity, −10 if the country is in Unrest, −20 if another nation's order counters yours.

Inside a nation
Explore Qinal's State Panel
Every team gets this panel for its own nation: read-only, and updated by the Umpire each turn. Open the demo and click through it.
- Situation Room, parliament, economy, energy, diplomacy, press and more.
- Every number carries a source label and a "Δ and why" line.
- Each nation sees exact figures only for itself. Everyone else is an estimate with a range.
Qinal is a non-playable demo nation taken from the Suzerain lore. The ten playable nations' panels are private to their cabinets and never published here.
The nations
Ten nations of Merkopa, January 1954
Every one of them is run by players. Click a nation for its overview, regions, newspapers, economy and the three seats.
Balance of power
No bloc can win alone
GDP by bloc
Billions of OMEC marks per year
Population by bloc
Millions of people
GRACE has the largest economy and army, but the ATO and the CSP together outweigh it, Rumburg must import its oil and guard nine borders, and the five unaligned nations hold more people than any bloc. Whoever courts them best tips the balance.
